Arstikogukond ja avalikkus j\u00e4tsid selle s\u00f5numi t\u00e4hele panemata. Pigem on juhtunud vastupidine \u2013 L\u00e4\u00e4ne kultuuri populaarsus ja edu on Aasiat ja teisi arenguriike ebasoodsalt m\u00f5jutanud, nii et nad soovivad j\u00e4ljendada L\u00e4\u00e4ne m\u00fcrgist dieeti. USA P\u00f5llumajanduse Ministeerium (USDA) uuendab Ameerika toidup\u00fcramiidi iga viie aasta tagant, loobumata epideemiat p\u00f5hjustavatest toitudest. <strong>USDA juhtkonnas on k\u00f5ik endised liha- ja piimat\u00f6\u00f6stuse v\u00f5imuagendid.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arstikogukonnas on olukord veelgi hullem. Arstiteadus on omaks v\u00f5tnud l\u00e4henemise, et k\u00f5ik peavad selgeks saama s\u00fcdamehaiguste riskitegurid nagu suitsetamine, k\u00f5rge verer\u00f5hk, diabeet, k\u00f5rge kolesterool ning perekonna ajalugu. Uuem uuring paljastab, et 50-aastaselt hakkavad ameeriklased kannatama mini-insultide all, mille j\u00e4tkudes v\u00f5etakse ajult t\u00f5sine ja tagasip\u00f6\u00f6ramatu l\u00f5iv. 60. aastateks v\u00f5ib m\u00e4lu halveneda ning nende mini-insultide j\u00e4tkudes on meil 70-80. aastateks dementsus. Dr. Ornish t\u00f5estas seda p\u00e4rast \u00fcheaastast ravi. Dr. Esselstyn n\u00e4itas samu tulemusi 5 aastaga ning esitas oma tulemusi uuesti 12, 16 ja viimaks 21 aasta j\u00e4rel oma raamatus Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease (S\u00fcdamehaiguste ennetamine ja tagasip\u00f6\u00f6ramine).
